The Funk Excursion, with Badd Kitti, airs every Friday from 9 – 11 pm on WPPM LP -106.5 in Philadelphia, Pa.
The program hosts your journey through the evolution of THE FUNK, examining the history, and culture through critical discussion, interviews and, of course, the Best of Funk and its many sub-genres. Featuring the Classic era of the 60s and 70s, with a mix of modern funk, techno, disco, funky hip hop and house, The Funk Excursion presents Funk not just as music of the past, but as a living art form which has, and continues to, influence music throughout the world today.
Our host, Badd Kitti (aka Brieze Thompson), is a Musician, Composer, Educator and Radio Personality and Life-Long Funkateer living in the Philadelphia area.
