The Funk Excursion Debuts on WCSU FM

Funk Excursion Debut features Dayton Funk Royalty

Hey y’all, my radio show The Funk Excursion radio show debuted on September 2 on WCSU FM, a radio station supported by Central State University in Xenia, OH.

I couldn’t have had a better first show! My guests included broadcast legend Dr. John “Turk” Logan, who as a young DJ in Dayton, OH, helped to brake the Ohio Players on mainstream radio, and helped bands like Slave, Sun and Faze-O get signed.

I also had the pleasure of getting the scoop on the soon to be opened Funk Museum from the man himself, Mr. David Webb, founder of the museum.

And finally, I interviewed  Grammy winner and Funk Legend K. Harrison, vocalist, keyboard player and key composer for FAZE-O, and member of the Dazz Band and Heatwave. Dayton Funk Royalty in Da House!!

Check out excerpts from the debut show here.
And check back on the regular for new episodes and all things Funky on
The Funk Excursion, Your Passport to the Universe of Funk.
